UCP4SUCCESS is organising the online forum ‘Perspectives on dropout and (in)success: How to intervene?’, on 28 September 2026. This event, organised by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, aims to provide a space for reflection and debate dedicated to the challenges of dropout and success in higher education, and to intervention strategies supported by data and predictive models.

The forum will foster discussion on the potential of data analysis tools for the early identification of students at risk, exploring how these can contribute to the development of more effective and personalised interventions.

The initiative will also address key issues relating to the ethical and transparent use of these models, as well as their compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and their practical application in higher education institutions.

The session will feature the UCP4SUCCESS team and other guests, and is aimed at the academic community and anyone interested in the fields of education, innovation and promoting success in higher education.

Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration. Further information on the programme and the speakers will be announced in due course.
