He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (1983), a Master's in Labor and Business Psychology (1998) and a PhD in Psychology (2010) from the University of Porto.

Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in Católica's Business School. From 2013 to 2018, he was the director of the Master's program in Human Resources Management. He is a member of the Lusophone Directorate of the scientific journal LABOREAL (published electronically twice a year), in which he works in Labor Psychology and Ergonomics. He is an advisor in the fields of Human Resources Management and Organizational Behaivor.
