Catarina João Capela Ribeiro has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Católica in Porto since 2007. She holds a PhD in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto with the thesis Judicial Decision in Cases of Intrafamilial Sexual Abuse: Magistrates' Perspectives, Experiences and Psychological Processes". She is a Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology, with an Advanced Specialisation in Psychology of Justice. She is a Clinical Psychologist and an Expert in Forensic Psychological Evaluation at the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences. She was coordinator of the Portuguese research team of the European project FACT FORM MINORS - Fostering Alternative Care for Troubled Minors (JUST/2015/RCHI/AG/PROF/9578) and co-coordinator of the Portuguese research team of the European projects PRO.VI - Protecting Victims' Rights" (JUST/JACC/AG/2017/802047) and SeRV - Services and Rights for Victims of Crime (JUST/JACC/AG/2018/847356)."
