Short Description of the Topic

This workshop is specifically designed to support students who are in fact using qualitative data analysis in their research projects. It is expected that students use this workshop to advance in their qualitative data analysis and share their needs, to receive feedback and make decisions concerning challenges resulting from the coding, categorization and exploration of the relation of themes and nodes to answer research questions.

Maria Carmo Carvalho

Maria Carmo de Azevedo Carvalho has a Degree, a Masters and a PhD in Psychology by the University of Porto. Carmo is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology - Catholic University of Portugal - Porto. She has been a clinical psychologist accredited by the Portuguese Bar of Psychologists since 2016. She is Vice-President of the International Center for Ethnobotanical Education Research and Service (www.ICEERS.org), and she has been coordinating psychological emergency services for people who use drugs at recreational environments since 2010. Her research topics include addictive behaviors, nightlife and recreational environments, drug policy (adult-use cannabis regulation) and psychedelic science (therapeutic potential of psychedelics).
