“We tend to repeat past mistakes because we follow patterns without realising it. And, of course, this also applies to the relationships we choose.

It’s a story we’ve seen many times: someone leaves an unhappy relationship, promises that ‘next time will be different’, but before long finds themselves in a similar situation, with someone not very different from the previous partner. Why is it that, no matter how much we want to learn from our mistakes, something seems to push us towards choosing the wrong people time and time again?”
