I chose this program because of the renown associated with the instituted, which is proven through the rankings and professional excellence. I discovered that not only does renown make a home, but also its residences. Since the first moment I arrived, there was never a moment I felt lost in the hallways of FEP. I was welcomed by a team of instructors and workers, whose tireless effort guided me through the turbulence of transitioning [to the university] and quickly made me feel welcomed and integrated. Here, I feel that there are no closed doors: we are individually heard and supported through the mentoring service, constantly guided and motivated by instructors, brought into a diverse range of activities and programs that not only allow us to be exposed to different contexts, but also to mold us individually and professionally.

Through this program, we are exposed to a very strong practical component, and the content itself brings together various curricular units, which helps facilitate learning. I can now understand material that I once considered unachievable by me, which is the result of a carefully defined program that respects the diverse academic backgrounds of its students.

I feel certain about my decision to study Psychology at Católica and proud to be part of an institution in the training of professionals and excellent human beings.

Talking about UCP's Psychology Degree means talking about human relationships of help and growth. To me, the pillar of education in this university is the people, the closeness and the contact. Through relationships established between the departmental faculty and the students, a space is fostered for diversity, exchange and progress. As a student, I feel that my professors stimulate my curiosity, which gives me the tools to grow as a future professional with a crucial awareness and, above all else, gives me such freedom to question [the world around me], nurturing my passion for Psychology.

Being a part of UCP's Psychology department is a privilege.

My experience earning my degree from FEP was guided by innumerous oportunities and challenges, but above all else personal and academic growth. The sharing of knowledge and values rooted in excellence prepares us for our future, and offers fundamental tools for our development. It is also worth highlighting the professionialism and expertise of the entire faculty, the constant support, and the availability provided by the entire community. Beign a part of FEP is investing in the construction of an enriching and promising journey.

Hello everyone, my name is Inês Franco, currently in my second year in FEP's Psychology program. Time has gone by too quickly. I remember just a year ago I was focused on my future Biology and Portuguese exams that would determine if I entered the program. When I heard about the department of Psychology in the middle of my 12th year, I became interested. I enrolled, and now, it has been two years in UCP's Psychology program! Was it certain that I was going to like it? No, but I took the risk! Like I think we all do: follow our likes, dreams and passions!

It was not easy adapting to university life for the first time: new environments, new professors and peers, new transportations and new patterns that I needed to adapt to. However, it was only the first few weeks and it was worth it! However, this new home made me feel integrated from the very first day, and I had the opportunity of getting to know spectacular people. And the truth is that the existing help and cooperation, no matter my doubts about the material, was always available. There was always someone free to help, be it professors, older colleagues, or my peers.

I am happy to say that I do not regret the decision I made. FEP's faculty greatly promotes a global education of its students through an individual approach and as a collective with extracurricular and academic activities. Along with the skills I have acquired in the department, I have learned to live independently and manage my time, two significant learning experiences. I feel that I have grown a lot through FEP, be it my personal, academic or professsional skills. That is what made me realize I made the right choice!
