Applications open for the 2nd Edition of the Advanced Training Programme in Digital Transformation of Teaching

The Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FEP-UCP) is now accepting applications for the 2nd edition of the Advanced Training Programme in Digital Transformation of Teaching. The programme is scheduled to begin on 3 February 2026 and will be delivered online, running from February to April 2026.

Worth 12 ECTS and comprising a total of 40 contact hours, complemented by autonomous work, this advanced training programme aims to respond to current educational challenges by promoting pedagogical innovation and the development of digital competences in teaching and learning contexts.

An accredited programme focused on innovation

The programme is promoted by FEP-UCP and is accredited by the Scientific and Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education (CCPFC), under registration CCPFC/ACC-136035/25, and is coordinated by Professor António Andrade and Professor José Lagarto.

The curriculum structure includes five core modules - Pedagogical Innovation, Teaching with Artificial Intelligence, Digital Didactics and Interactive Whiteboards, Mediated Teaching, and From Tools to Learning Environments - preceded by an initial module dedicated to socialisation with the programme, the teaching team and the learning platform.

Sessions take place preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in an online format. There is also the possibility of occasional face-to-face sessions, particularly for assessment purposes.

Target audience and admission requirements

The programme is aimed at students, teachers, researchers, professionals and other interested candidates, resident in Portugal, whether professionally active or not, who hold a higher education degree or are currently attending higher education in areas such as Education, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Business Sciences, Law, Services, among others. Candidates from other scientific areas may also be admitted, subject to the availability of remaining places.

PRR-funded scholarships

Within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), through the Impulso Mais Digital programme and the Training for Digital Transformation project, 30 scholarships will be awarded. These correspond to a full exemption from tuition fees and will be granted to candidates who meet the admission requirements and achieve the highest scores in the selection process.

Applications and deadlines

The application period is open until 15 January 2026, with results to be announced on 21 January 2026.
