Statistics Applied to Psychology I

6 ECTS / Semester

This course aims to provide students with the statistical knowledge necessary for the preparation and understanding of quantitative/statistical studies in Psychology. The main aims of the course are:

  • To introduce students to a set of descriptive statistical methods that allow organizing and synthesizing information contained in a dataset.
  • To introduce fundamental concepts of statistical inference that allow students to draw conclusions for a population based on samples.
  • To familiarize students with the statistical analysis software - SPSS - allowing them to carry out statistical procedures in a way that is closer to real academic research practice.
