Helena Gil da Costa holds a Ph.D. in Humanities and Social Sciences—Education from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. She completed a Master’s degree in Total Applied Creativity at the University of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Porto. She completed the Early Childhood Educators program at the Paula Frassinetti Teacher College.
She was a faculty member at the Paula Frassinetti Teacher College. She also served as executive director of the Santa Maria Teacher College and as academic director of the Santa Maria School (daycare, kindergarten, and elementary school). And she was the coordinator of the Mais Saber Program and the Critical Thinking Program at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto.
Currently, she is the representative in Portugal for The Creative Problem Solving Group, Inc. (Buffalo, New York). She teaches in the areas of Education, Creativity and Sociology at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. And she is also a member of the coordinating committee of the Ethics Forum at Católica Porto Business School.
