She received her PhD in Economics from the University of Porto and now woroks as an assistant professor in Católica's Business School. She conducts research in the field of Economics / Human Resources; notably, she was a researcher on the project "Diagonistic of NGOs in Portugal," which was done through the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (2015).

She was an advisor on the project "Assessment of the Municipal Lease Support Program (PMAA)" (2015-2016), which was done for the City Council of Matosinhos. She lectures on many topics in Human Resources and Public Policy.
