Program Description

The Master’s in Psychology of Human Resources Development at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FEP‑UCP) prepares psychologists to act as strategic partners within organisations, promoting well‑being, professional growth and sustainable performance. 

With a multidisciplinary approach integrating Psychology, Management, Economics and Law, and developed in partnership with the Católica Porto Business School, this programme trains psychologists to address the challenges of contemporary work. 

The Master’s includes two pathways: 
Professional track: A curricular internship carried out over one academic year 
Academic track: A dissertation integrated into a research project 
 

Study mode: Full‑time / On‑campus 
Duration: 2 years (120 ECTS)
Entry requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology

Is the Master’s accredited?   

Yes. It is accredited by A3ES and meets the requirements for access to the Portuguese Psychologists Association (OPP). 
 

What is the duration and study mode? 

2 years (120 ECTS), full‑time / on‑campus, at the Universidade Católica in Porto (Foz campus). 
 

What is the language of instruction? 

Portuguese
 

Do I need a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology to apply? 

Yes. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology obtained in Portugal, an equivalent legal qualification, or a recognised international degree in Psychology approved by the FEP‑UCP Scientific Council. 
 

Does the programme include an internship?  

Yes. A curricular internship takes place in the 2nd year, with additional international opportunities via Erasmus. 
 

What is the employability rate? 

100%.

How is research integrated at FEP‑UCP?
