PhD in Educational Sciences - Distance Education Systems. Associate Professor and member of the academic board of the Faculty of Human Sciences (FCH) and Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP) of the UCP – Catholic University of Portugal. Head of the FCH Education Department. Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Educational Sciences, specialization in ICT and Education, developed under a distance learning regime since 2003. Lecturer of the Distance Education & eLearning, Multimedia and Communication units, the Seminars in ICT and Education and in Research Methods in Education. Author of three books and various articles related to issues of professional training in distance education, ICT and education, usage of technologies for teaching deaf students and elearning and innovation in classroom. Develops research activities in the area of elearning project design and the influence of ICT policies in teaching and learning processes. Supervisor of research work leading to the attainment of Master's Degree and Doctoral theses.
