Applications to participate in Harvard Summer School under the partnership between Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) and Harvard Division of Continuing Education (DCE) are now open and will run until 6 January. Eligible Universidade Católica students can now apply to join the intensive academic programmes that will take place in the summer of 2026.
The opportunity follows the collaboration agreement that UCP signed on 13 November with Harvard University's Division of Continuing Education, through which it became an official member of the DCE Global Partner Programme. This partnership gives Católica students privileged access to Harvard Summer School, one of the most prestigious international academic initiatives.
Through this agreement, eligible Católica students will have access to Harvard Summer School’s renowned academic offerings through either a three-week or four-week session. Students will join a global cohort of peers from leading universities around the world, engaging in rigorous coursework and gaining access to Harvard’s dynamic, inclusive learning environment.
Harvard Summer School welcomes thousands of students each year from more than 100 countries. As part of the Global Partner Program, Católica students will receive dedicated enrollment support, advising resources, and access to exclusive partner events designed to enhance cultural exchange and global networking.
According to Universidade Católica Portuguesa’s President, Isabel Capeloa Gil, “this new partnership aligns with Católica’s strategy of providing students with learning experiences that empower them to become global leaders in their fields.”
Presentations of the programme have already been given by representatives of Harvard Division of Continuing Education, who visited the Lisbon and Porto campuses on 20 and 21 November, respectively.
