Faculty of Education and Psychology Welcomes New Students of the Master's in Psychology and Human Resource Development

The Faculty of Education and Psychology at the Catholic University of Portugal (FEP-UCP) welcomed the new first-year students of the Master's in Psychology of Human Resources Development (PDRH), who have begun the 2025/2026 academic year. The session, held at the Porto campus, was marked by dialogue between the faculty leadership, lecturers, students, and alumni, reflecting the spirit of community and sharing that characterises FEP-UCP.

The session opened with a welcome address by Raquel Matos, Dean of the Faculty, followed by an intervention from Filipa Sobral, coordinator of the PDRH Master's, who emphasised the importance of this transitional moment: “This Master's is more than an academic journey — it is an opportunity to develop human and professional skills that will make a difference in organisations and society. Your journey begins today, and we are here to support you every step of the way.”

Adélia Monarca, lecturer at FEP-UCP, then presented the tutoring programme, underlining the Faculty’s commitment to close student support. The session continued with contributions from the Students’ Association and testimonials from second-year students and alumni, who shared experiences, challenges, and achievements, offering a realistic and inspiring perspective on the academic journey.

The welcome event concluded with a social gathering and the traditional group photograph, symbolising the beginning of a new chapter marked by personal, academic, and professional growth.

The Master's in Psychology and Human Resource Development at FEP-UCP is recognised for its strong scientific and applied components, offering students the opportunity to engage in a solid education in organisational psychology and people management, within an academic environment defined by rigour, innovation, and close engagement.
