A new issue of the Revista Portuguesa de Investigação Educacional (Portuguese Journal of Educational Research) - the scientific journal of the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), with a focus on Educational Sciences - has already been released.

The issue 25 of the magazine is dedicated to the theme “Leadership, well-being and justice”.

“In this edition, we pay special attention to the trinomial of leadership, well-being, and justice. Theoretical and empirical evidence highlights the importance of leadership in building personal, professional, and organizational well-being. Leadership exists and develops to increase learning and commitment opportunities capable of creating environments of well-being and opportunities for greater equity and social justice. The logic is learning as the central principle and purpose of schooling”, explains Cristina Palmeirão, Assistant Professor at FEP.

The edition recently published in online format consists of eight scientific articles, subject to peer review.

The first three articles focus on school leaders and their contribution to education, citizenship, inclusive education and the construction of a school centered on learning for all students. Two other articles are focused on institutional self-evaluation and external evaluation of schools. Finally, the remaining papers address the topic of pedagogical innovation and student involvement in the learning process, as well as the use of digital games in the classroom.
