The curricular unit Victimization Phenomena and Psychological Intervention with Victims integrates the curriculum of the Master of Psychology in the specialization area of Psychology of Justice and Deviant Behaviour. Its main goal is to provide students with a detailed knowledge on the phenomena of victimization and on the psychological intervention in this area. Another outcome is the improvement of knowledge about the major conceptual models of victimization, as well as about the psychological intervention with victims. To know and to understand the main theoretical paradigms of victimization, to understand the characteristics, dynamics and psychological impact of different forms of victimization of children and adults. To know the main psychological intervention models with victims. To understand the specificities of the victim's relationship with the judicial system and to understand the dynamics of secondary victimization.
