Scholarships and social support

  1. Personalized assistance and the search for solutions:in the Students and Employment service, you can present your case (as a student) and the best way to pay will be researched with you and our services. This takes into consideration your ability to pay.
     
  2. Scholarships from the General Administration of Higher Education: The Catholic University of Porto will assist with your application.
     
  3. Support from the University: For those who need the assurance of social support, in the event that the DGES' aid is not sufficient, the university will provide aid as well (non-refundable or to be returned by the end of the term).
     
  4. Payment over 12 months (not 10) of installments
     
  5. Family Support: For families that have 2+ students studying at the University.

Faculty of Education and Psychology Merit Scholarships

Annually, the FEP-UCP awards merit scholarships to the most outstanding candidates (based on their application grade) and students (based on their academic performance in the previous academic year). These scholarships are awarded automatically and there is no need to apply or demonstrate household income.

What are the conditions for obtaining a merit scholarship?

The awarding of scholarships for each program is governed by specific regulations which are updated on an annual basis.

Prizes

Caixa Geral de Depósitos Prize

University Merit Award granted annually to the graduating student with the highest average grade at time of completion in the Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Psychology based on the previous academic year. The only eligible graduates are those who have attended both Study Cycles in the Department of Education and Psychology.

The Amélia de Mello Foundation Prize

University Merit Award granted annually to graduates of the Psychology program in recognition of their contributions to the university (both academically and in extracurricular activities).
