The First Conference of the University Psychology Clinic (CUP), which will take place on 10 October 2025, in the Carvalho Guerra Auditorium at the Universidade Católica in Porto, marks a special milestone: the celebration of the clinic's 18 years of service to the community. This event, part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the psychology degree programme, provides a unique space for reflection, knowledge sharing, and debate on the challenges facing the clinical practice of psychology throughout the life cycle, from childhood to adulthood and old age.
The programme brings together CUP psychologists, researchers, and leading professionals who will address current topics of great social impact, from psychotherapy research to the specific nature of intervention with different target audiences throughout the various stages of the life cycle, taking into account different developmental tasks and issues that affect psychological well-being.
This conference is a unique opportunity to strengthen the connection between science, clinical practice, and society, continuing CUP's commitment to the quality and humanisation of psychological care and its involvement in the production of evidence-based scientific knowledge.
