Vânia Sousa Lima has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Minho where, in July 2009, she publicly presented her thesis on "Attachment, Representation of Intimate Relationship and Dyadic Interaction in Adults".
She is Assistant Professor at the Education and Psychology Faculty of Católica Porto where she has developed research on intimate relationships, psychological evaluation and psychotherapeutic intervention. She is a therapist at the University Psychology Clinic - CUP, where she treats adults, couples and families.
She previously served as Vice-President of the Psychology International Research Group of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (2022-2024) and is a member of Working Group 4 - Family Life, of the Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities (SACRU).
