"At 40 years old, a milestone he reached this Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo almost refuses to talk about retirement, stating that he alone will decide when to leave football—years after most footballers have already ended their careers. Behind the scenes, however, the Portuguese star may well be preparing for what comes next, investing in new ventures such as social media or business partnerships. His example could serve as a model for other careers. We may not retire at 40, of course, but to enjoy retirement fully, we need to be more than just our work, psychologists told Público."
