Statistics Applied to Psychology II

6 ECTS / Semester

By the end of this curricular unit, students should be able to:

  • Differentiate between parametric and non-parametric tests;
  • Verify and interpret all the assumptions required to perform parametric tests;
  • Identify the characteristics of the variables and the samples that indicate which statistical test should be used;
  • Use the SPSS to, independently, conduct all the statistical tests taught in this CU;
  • Analyze the results of each test and decide about their significance levels;
  • Present in scientific writing, according to APA norms, the results obtained with the statistical tests;
