Multiple generations of alumni have gathered to the campus of Universidade Católica in Porto to celebrate and reunite with former colleagues and teachers. In the presence of Prof. Carvalho Guerra, there were several moments: welcoming words by the Pro-Rector and announcement of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Biotechnology. Not forgetting to mention the always highly appreciated performance of Tuna of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. More than 300 alumni from the eight academic units attended the Alumni Fest 2024.
"It is a great joy to welcome our alumni to our alma mater. The University is, by definition, a space under constant construction. And in this process we count on all those who have lived it, on all those who now comply with it daily in the labor market. We train generations and generations of people to make a difference in society and it is with great pleasure that we always have the doors open to receive them in a dialogue that we want to be permanent," said Isabel Braga da Cruz, pro-rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
The meeting was also attended by representatives and professors of the different Schools of Universidade Católica in Porto, and with the announcement, made by the director of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Paula Castro, of the beginning of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the School, which will be celebrated in the academic year 2024/2025.
The Alumni Fest 2024 is a joint initiative of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto with the various Alumni Associations (Biotechnology, Law and Education and Psychology) and with the different alumni communities (Católica Porto Business School, School of Nursing, School of Arts, Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing and Faculty of Theology in Porto).
The event, which took place on July 6, brought together more than 300 alumni from the eight academic units.
