Participants from more of 10 countries joined the 2nd “Affect, Personality and the Embodied Brain APE2021” Meeting

Saturday, September 25, 2021 - 12:20

The APE2022 follows the success of our previous two editions in 2020 and 2021. See below a brief summary of these two editions.

Dates: 20th to 22nd September 2021 (online)

We had some incredibly exciting and inspiring three days of excellent keynotes, symposia, workshops, discussion rounds, presentations and posters, followed by our social networking events. We would like to thank all the presenters, committee members, and delegates for supporting us in this event! We had around 300 people from 20 countries register for the conference. We also had a further 350 students from Portugal and Brazil join as classes. Thus, we hope that all presentations have reached a truly wide international audience! We were very delighted to share this moment with you and hope you enjoyed this time spend together with us.

DONATIONS FOR OUR SUPPORTERS

The APE2021 was a free event, however, we encouraged delegates to donate to the charities supporting APE2021 by joining us for the open table discussion on their experiences around collaborations with academia. All the money raised was split evenly across these three charities:

  • Living Without Abuse (LWB) - who offer help and support for anyone suffering from domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
  • FND Dimensions - who provide peer support for people diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) as well as careers and families.
  • Aftermath - Surviving Psychopathy Foundation - who support the families and victims of those with psychopathy.
