Bio
Daniel Silva holds a PhD in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto, with a thesis in Work Psychology entitled “Between me and the machine: the role of professional experience in contexts of change driven by automation and its contributions to thinking about the future of work”. His research interests focus on new human-machine configurations arising from the introduction of emerging technologies (AI, algorithmic management, cobots) and their impacts on occupational health, safety, and the sustainability of work. He is a collaborating member of the Centre for Psychology at University of Porto (CPUP), serves on the Editorial Committee and the European Board of Laboreal, and is a member of the Editorial Committee of Humanities & Social Sciences Communications. He is also a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association and of the technical-scientific networks IEA, SELF, and SPOSHO, specialising in activity-centred ergonomics, work psychology, and occupational health and safety.
