In January this year, the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FEP) of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) published the e-book "Assessment in Interaction: Curriculum, Pedagogies and Learning", the twenty-third in the "Studies in Education" collection, coordinated by the Faculty's Cristina Palmeirão and José Matias Alves.

The e-book, which can be downloaded free of charge from the UCP Editora website, follows the "XIII Cycle of In-depth Seminars in School Administration, Supervision and Organisation", held between January and May 2023, on the theme of "Assessment in Interaction: Pedagogy, Curriculum and Learning".

As Cristina Palmeirão explains, the aim of this educational dialogue, which has now been published in book form, was to "trigger the necessary processes of change for the quality of teaching and learning, oriented towards success, equity and inclusion of and for learning".

Eight thematic contributions on assessment in the education

The digital book brings together eight thematic contributions that address different perspectives on assessment in educational contexts, with the aim of promoting dialogue and reflection on the quality of teaching and learning.

The e-book is particularly useful for school principals, primary and secondary school teachers, special education teachers, postgraduate, masters and doctoral students in educational sciences, and senior technicians.

It should be noted that the publication is part of the External School Assessment Programme, which has been running for more than two decades with the aim of promoting the quality of teaching and learning for all.
