Filipa de Almeida Santos Pacheco Palha, has been Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Católica in Porto since 2006. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto in 2012. She coordinated the Master's Degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation - Specialization in Mental Disorder, 1st and 2nd editions.
She is the founding president of ENCONTRAR+SE - Association for the Promotion of Mental Health (since 2006), having coordinated the first national campaign against the stigma and discrimination of mental illness. She is Coordinator of the Integrated Care Centre of ENCONTRAR+SE (since 2009) and Technical Director of the Socio-Occupational Unit- ENCONTRAR+SE integrated in the National Network of Continued Integrated Mental Health Care (Since 2017).
She is a member of the Coordination Committee of the Support Network for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of the Metropolitan Area of Porto (since 2014).
She was Regional Vice President (Europe) of the World Federation for Mental Health (2015-2017); Member of the Board of Directors of the World Federation for Mental Health (2017-2019).
She was Member of the Advisory Board of the Global Alliance for Mental Health Advocates (2017-2020) and Representative of ENCONTRAR+SE in the Global Anti-Stigma Alliance (2017-2021).
She has coordinated several projects on mental health promotion and intervention in mental illness.
