Master's in Psychology - Specialization in Clinical Psychology and Health

The Master's degree focuses on the development of technical skills as well as critical analysis. In particular, this program emphasizes the ability to solve problems and to adapt to new situations, both through autonomous and group work.

This program's scientific rigor and requirements has enabled me to develop specific and transversal skills that will prove to be pivotal when entering the labour market.

In this way, I feel that I have been throughly prepared, enabling me to further differentiate myself when entering the labour market.

I chose Católica to continue my academic career. I was drawn by the program offering me a Master's degree with on par to the level of Psychology pursued on a national level, as well as the vast resources that the department provides us. But mainly, I chose the Department of Education and Psychology for its ability to mesh the essential aspects of my professional development (ensuring a training of excellence and rigor and the network of national and international contacts that the university presents to us), with my personal and social development (with the dynamics implemented in terms of work with the community, volunteering, and with the institutions/entities that welcome us to carry out our internships). It should be noted that, every day, the department prioritizes balancing the development of technical skills (the hard skills) and personal skills (soft skills), which allows us to grow both within our area of work as well as in our lives and in society.

It is a prestigious and internationally recognized department, which has exceptional spaces and references in the field of Psychology; but moreover, what I feel most differentiates the faculty (and, consequently, my master's degree) from other similar programs is the proximity, support, individualized knowledge and concern for each of its students. Therefore, my choice of master's degree could not have been easier!

I chose the Master's in Clinical Psychology and Health, and I am very satisfied with my decision. The constant support from the faculty, the daily challenges, the closeness and help from the entire community and the practical examples that made us reflect on the outside world were, undoubtedly, the factors that made me certain I had made the correct choice.

As a student in UCP's Master's of Psychology Program, I was drawn to the scientific and technical rigor and seeing knowledge as experience, in the sense of something happening to us, that affects us and facilitates our transformation.

I believe my experience as a student of the Master's degree in Psychology, with specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology was extremely enriching from botha professional and personal point of view. The training combines the high level of theoretical rigor, which guarantees the quality of professional practice, with the need for observations and experimentation based on clinical practice and research. Such opportunities enable the development of transversal skills that, in addition to promoting the construction of a differentiated professional identity, facilitate one's entrance into the labor market. The specialized and highly experienced faculty is unequivocally a defining factor, demonstrating itself to be available, demanding and concerned with our learning needs throughout the whole program.
