HNL researcher at the annual European conference of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering

Pedro Ribeiro, a researcher at the Human Neurobehavioural Laboratory (HNL) and a PhD student in "Applied Psychology: Adaptation and change in contemporary societies" of the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (FEP-UCP), attended the ISPE Europe Annual Conference - an event that brings together the most prominent experts and professionals in the pharmaceutical industry - held in Lisbon from 15 to 18 April.

The researcher was able to attend the conference thanks to the Professional Development Grant awarded to him by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, which recognises his potential and the importance of the research he has carried out at HNL.

"I believe that attending the conference furthered my education by exposing me to a new field, not necessarily my own. I had the opportunity to get in touch with the green transition of different industries that I had never worked with before, which allowed me to reflect on the topic of my thesis. I also had the chance to learn new and innovative techniques in the field of Artificial Intelligence, an area in which I have a great interest and in which I often work," explains the FEP PhD student.

Pedro Ribeiro's doctoral thesis examines how neuroscience can contribute to sustainability communication between industry and consumers.
